Supply Chain Officer (Expedited Recruitment)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to support its Country Office operations. This expedited recruitment is open to internal and internal‑equivalent candidates and focuses on delivering quality goods and services to beneficiaries efficiently and cost‑effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic planning for supply‑chain activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct logistics capacity assessments, market research and analysis of commodity trends.
• Coordinate and monitor supply‑chain tasks including planning, budgeting, scheduling and provision of goods and services.
• Prepare regular progress reports, statistical updates and briefing notes.
• Manage procurement, warehouse, transport, fleet, assets, facilities and logistics information systems, providing guidance and training to staff.
• Identify bottlenecks through value‑stream mapping and propose process optimisations.
• Review procurement requests, evaluate vendors, maintain a qualified vendor pool and oversee bidding processes.

Required profile

• Experience in supply‑chain management, procurement and logistics within an international or humanitarian context.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret market data and statistical information.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to train and support staff on supply‑chain policies and procedures.
