About the role

BURN is seeking a B2C Channel Sales Manager to design and implement the company’s direct‑to‑consumer sales strategy across the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role will lead a large network of sales agents, ensure compliance with carbon‑project requirements, and drive revenue growth through door‑to‑door and market‑day activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the route‑to‑market strategy for the Direct Sales (B2C) channel, focusing on door‑to‑door and market‑day sales.
  • Build, train, and manage a team of Territory Sales Managers, Team Leaders, and a network of 1,000+ Direct Sales Agents.
  • Collaborate with recruitment agencies to continuously hire and train agents to meet headcount and sales targets.
  • Ensure carbon‑project monitoring and evaluation standards are met, including proper stove distribution and data collection.
  • Advise management on compensation structures and incentive programs for the sales force.
  • Oversee CRM usage, inventory management, and cash‑collection procedures.
  • Define, track, and report key performance indicators for the channel.
  • Support market‑intelligence activities and carbon feasibility studies.
  • Produce analytical reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to plan and execute below‑the‑line and above‑the‑line campaigns.

Required profile

  • 3+ years experience managing direct‑sales teams of 500+ agents in the DRC, preferably in fast‑moving consumer goods or durable goods.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and marketing in the DRC context.
  • Experience running on‑the‑ground sales and marketing events, such as marketplace activations.
  • 2+ years experience in monitoring and evaluation.
  • 3+ years project‑management experience coordinating complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with CRM systems.
  • Experience in inventory management and cash‑collection processes.
  • Data collection, analysis and reporting capabilities.
