National Project Coordinator

About the role

The National Project Coordinator will be appointed on a temporary basis to support United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) activities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Classified as SB5 – Local Professional (Mid‑Level & Senior), the position reports to the Directorate of SDG Innovation and Economic Transformation (IET) and contributes to UNIDO’s mission of promoting inclusive and sustainable industrial development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination and implementation of UNIDO project activities at the national level.
• Support the IET Directorate in developing innovation initiatives aligned with UNIDO’s strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with UNIDO divisions, regional offices and country offices to ensure coherence of project actions.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports and related administrative records.

Required profile

• Mid‑level to senior professional experience appropriate for SB5 grade.
• Willingness to work in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
