Airport Manager – Lubumbashi

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced Airport Manager to lead operations at its Lubumbashi station. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and customer‑focused airport services while meeting regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee passenger and aircraft handling operations on a shift basis, ensuring compliance with checklists, brand standards, and regulations.
• Participate in daily operations, working weekends and public holidays as required.
• Manage safety and security outcomes through promotion, hazard identification, risk assessment, and reporting.
• Coordinate VIP, MAAS, PRM, and special‑category guest requirements, including flight editing and special services.
• Maintain and rehearse emergency response, disruption, diversion, and business continuity plans.
• Monitor on‑time performance, delay mitigation, and accurate reporting.
• Drive ancillary sales performance and ensure compliance with promotional processes.
• Promote, deliver, and report on customer‑service standards and related KPIs.
• Act as Local Security Contact Officer.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent industry experience.
• 7‑9 years of leadership or senior management experience in airport or airline operations.
• Proven ability to lead multicultural teams in a high‑pressure, shift‑based environment.
• Strong communication skills across internal and external channels.
• Previous regional or international exposure is highly advantageous.
