Child Protection & MHPSS Manager (P-4, 6-month TA)

About the role

The Child Protection and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Manager will lead the strategic, technical and operational coordination of child protection and MHPSS interventions within UNICEF’s Ebola emergency response in Bunia, DRC. This role ensures that protection actions are integrated into the broader response framework and that partners receive effective technical supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic and operational coordination of child protection and MHPSS interventions within the Ebola emergency response.
• Technical and programmatic supervision of partners and response teams.
• Lead capacity‑building activities for staff and local actors.
• Monitor, analyse and report on programme performance and outcomes.
• Integrate child protection actions into inter‑sectoral coordination mechanisms and IMS.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social sciences, psychology, public health, international development or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in child protection and/or MHPSS in emergency settings.
• Proven experience coordinating multi‑sectoral humanitarian responses.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
