Compensation & Benefit Manager

About the role

The Compensation & Benefit Manager will report to the Chief People Officer and will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s compensation and benefits policies. This role ensures that pay packages are fair, competitive and compliant with local regulations while supporting the strategic objectives of Kamoto Copper Company.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for managers on compensation and benefits matters, providing timely guidance.
• Participate in salary and labour market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits.
• Analyze salary data and market trends to evaluate and adjust compensation policies.
• Advise management on compensation and benefits issues and propose tailored solutions.
• Develop and maintain competitive pay and benefit schemes to attract and retain top talent.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and conduct regular pay‑equity audits.
• Collaborate with Recruitment to keep job descriptions up‑to‑date and evaluate position classifications.
• Lead labour‑cost governance processes, including cost monitoring, budget vs. actual analysis and forecasting.
• Partner with HR, Finance and Operations to align workforce structures with productivity targets.
• Create and maintain compensation dashboards and KPIs for cost visibility and decision‑making.
• Support workforce planning through compensation analytics and cost modelling.
• Monitor compensation trends, salary movements and labour‑cost risks to enable proactive decisions.
• Provide regular reporting on labour‑cost performance and headcount.
