Graduate Engineer – Test Jig Design & Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Engineer to join our test engineering team. You will help design and develop test jig hardware, firmware and software used to verify complex SATCOM and aeronautical products.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of test jig hardware, firmware and associated software.
• Produce and maintain test scripts for production and verification using an in‑house test writing tool.
• Support the configuration department with required documentation.
• Maintain existing test equipment and support production teams.
• Debug production test failures, analyse results and use SQL, Jenkins and other tools.
• Follow formal software lifecycle and release processes.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to translate complex hardware functionality into automated test scripts.
• Strong communication, teamwork and report‑writing skills.

Required skills

• Programming/scripting: Python, JavaScript, VBScript, C, C++, Delphi.
• Firmware development platforms: Freescale, Atmel, Microchip.
• Database/query: SQL.
• Build and automation tools: Jenkins.
• Electronics knowledge: digital and analog design, electronic schematics.
• Hardware description languages: VHDL, FPGA design.
• Basic DSP familiarity.
