Quality Control Receiving Inspector

About the role

The Quality Control Receiving Inspector ensures that all incoming parts, materials and services meet established quality standards before they enter production. Working closely with supply‑chain and engineering teams, the role supports on‑time inspection targets and helps maintain zero product quality escapes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced mechanical and electrical measurements on purchased items using calibrated precision tools.
• Execute test procedures according to defined instructions and record results in the quality system.
• Analyze measurements, reject non‑conforming items, and report failures to relevant departments promptly.
• Maintain and control measurement instruments, jigs, and fixtures.
• Manage comprehensive quality documentation, receipts, and data capture for inspected items.
• Support on‑time inspection performance and contribute to corrective‑action teams for non‑conformances.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in quality inspection, metrology, or supplier quality management.
• Strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with supply‑chain activities, on‑time delivery indicators, and quality management systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and instruments.
• Advanced measuring and testing of mechanical and electrical components.
• Knowledge of metrology and material strength concepts.
• Advanced MS Office skills for reporting and documentation.
• Data entry and record‑keeping in quality management systems.
