Protection Project Coordinator – North Kivu, DRC (French)

About the role

DanChurchAid is seeking an experienced Protection Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of ECHO‑ and US OCHA‑funded protection projects in the health zones of Mweso and Kayna, North Kivu, DRC. Based in Mweso, you will work under the Area Manager to define and roll out protection strategies, ensure quality and harmonisation across operational areas, and strengthen protection integration across sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation and monitoring of protection projects funded by ECHO and US OCHA.
• Manage project resources, including budgets, staff and materials, to ensure delivery within scope and budget.
• Monitor, evaluate and report project progress in line with donor requirements and DCA internal standards.
• Identify and manage risks associated with project delivery in a complex operational environment.
• Ensure quality assurance, accountability to affected populations and integration of protection across sectors.
• Adapt project activities to local context while maintaining high standards of performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating protection projects in humanitarian settings.
• Strong knowledge of donor requirements (ECHO, US OCHA) and humanitarian protection standards.
• Ability to work in a challenging, conflict‑affected environment.
• Fluency in French and working knowledge of English.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and risk‑management capabilities.
