Quality In-Charge – Bridge Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quality In-Charge to lead quality assurance activities on a Balance Cantilever Bridge project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The successful candidate will ensure that all construction works meet approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control quality of bridge construction activities, including concrete production, placement, curing and formwork.
• Maintain quality testing reports, inspection records, material traceability logs and MIS submissions.
• Prepare and update site Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Method Statements.
• Conduct daily inspections, BBS reconciliation and reinforcement verification.
• Train site personnel on quality procedures and ensure compliance with IS codes and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with the Quality Manager, Project Manager, consultants and engineering teams to resolve non‑conformities.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction quality control, preferably on bridge or balance cantilever projects.
• Strong knowledge of pier and foundation works, segmental concrete construction, Doka cantilever forming traveler systems, prestressing and post‑tensioning.
• Proven ability to develop and implement QAP, ITP and method statements.
