Supply Associate – Temporary Procurement Role for Ebola Response

About the role

The Supply Associate will support UNICEF's emergency response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Working from Bunia, the incumbent will manage procurement and supply activities, ensuring timely delivery of essential goods and services for the health response.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end procurement processes for emergency supplies.
• Manage complex contracting cases and client requests with operational independence.
• Coordinate with UNICEF teams, the Ministry of Health, and national IPC mechanisms.
• Contribute to the design and improvement of supply services and delivery mechanisms.
• Supervise lower‑level staff where required.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or supply management, preferably in humanitarian settings.
• Ability to evaluate difficult situations and adapt procedures accordingly.
• Strong coordination and monitoring skills.
• Willingness to work in a high‑risk, insecure environment.
