Technical Services Manager

About the role

The Kibali Gold Mine team is looking for a Technical Services Manager to lead the delivery of mine planning, surveying, geotechnical, ventilation and underground projects. You will work within Barrick’s safety and cost‑effectiveness standards to support the mine’s life‑of‑mine strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee short, medium and long‑term mine planning, survey, geotechnical, ventilation and underground (UG) projects.
• Prepare and manage the annual technical services budget, reporting cost variations.
• Coordinate technical functions that optimise daily operations and develop strategies to extend the Life of Mine (LOM).
• Ensure medium‑ and long‑term plans comply with internal and external guidelines and strategic objectives.
• Assist in the preparation and review of reserves, budgets, cut‑off grades and LOM plans, including NI 43‑101 technical reports.
• Analyse production data, identify delays, and implement mitigating actions.
• Lead special projects, drive adoption of cutting‑edge technology, and improve mining process performance.
• Provide leadership, training and mentorship to employees and contractors, fostering teamwork and compliance with policies.
