Accountant – Church Finance (Entry Level)

About the role

This entry‑level accounting position supports the Church’s financial mission by safeguarding donated funds and ensuring accurate financial reporting under senior ecclesiastical direction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and adjustments.
• Maintain general ledger files, perform account reconciliations, and clear outstanding items.
• Review expenditures against budget, conduct investigations, and post correcting entries.
• Assist in preparing financial estimates and expense reports.
• Audit project accounts for policy compliance and communicate status to relevant parties.
• Train and support priesthood leaders and junior accountants.

Required profile

• Current temple recommend holder.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business management (financial accounting focus).
• Professional membership (e.g., CPA(K), ACCA, CISA) and knowledge of GAAP.
• 4‑6 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accountant code of conduct and church organization.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
