About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Finance Assistant (G6) on a fixed‑term basis to support financial and budgetary operations in Kinshasa. The role ensures accurate recording, interpretation, and reporting of financial information to facilitate effective decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and procedural support to staff on finance and budget matters, ensuring compliance with WFP policies, rules and regulations.
• Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
• Support the preparation, monitoring and reporting of budgets and financial statements.
• Coordinate financial documentation, record‑keeping and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure smooth financial operations.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in finance, accounting or related field.
• Experience in financial administration within an international or humanitarian context.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
