Administrative Officer – Emergency Response Support

About the role

The Administrative Officer will provide day‑to‑day administrative support to UNICEF’s Ebola response in Bunia, DRC. Working under the supervision of the Administration and Finance Specialist, the incumbent will help ensure that operational services are delivered efficiently, on time and in compliance with UNICEF’s rules and emergency procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Support the establishment and smooth functioning of UNICEF’s operational presence in Bunia, including office space, equipment, communications, utilities and accommodation.
• Ensure compliance with UNICEF administrative rules, internal controls and applicable emergency modalities, including simplified procedures where authorized.
• Coordinate administrative support for deployment, onboarding, movement, rotation, travel, accommodation and logistical follow‑up of UNICEF staff, consultants, surge personnel and visitors.
• Facilitate timely processing of administrative requests related to Ebola response activities such as IPC, WASH, health, community engagement, meetings, field missions and transport.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple logistical and administrative tasks.
