Area Lead – Democratic Republic of Congo

About the role

The Area Lead will support Alistair Group’s offshore logistics and supply‑chain operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, reducing commercial risk and building local capacity for the growing oil‑and‑gas and mining sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Travel between operational sites across the DRC, including key logistics corridors.
• Support development, expansion and operational viability of logistics, warehousing, terminal and inland‑infrastructure projects.
• Interface with government authorities, regulatory bodies, customers and stakeholders to identify opportunities, resolve challenges and ensure compliance.
• Represent Alistair Group as the primary point of contact in the DRC market.
• Identify and develop commercial opportunities and strategic relationships for logistics, transport, energy, mining and infrastructure services.
• Advise on commercial and operational strategies to optimise supply‑chain and remote‑site logistics.
• Enhance supply‑chain efficiency and performance to minimise financial, operational and compliance risks.
• Provide expertise on cost optimisation, procurement, supplier management and commercial negotiations.
• Guide scalability and operational readiness of infrastructure and logistics solutions.
• Support localisation initiatives through skill transfer and knowledge sharing.
