Assistant Restoration Technician

About the role

The Assistant Restoration Technician supports the Lead Technician on water‑damage remediation projects. Working under the direction of the Lead Tech, Project Manager, or General Manager, you will help prepare sites, follow safety protocols, and ensure remediation is performed to industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Tech with project preparation and execution on‑site.
• Set up and maintain safety barriers to protect the public.
• Perform remediation in accordance with IICRC S500 standards and MPR safety policies.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly at all times.
• Move large equipment and contents in and out of project sites.
• Communicate any project deviations to the Lead Tech promptly.
• Keep the work site clean and organized after each job.
• Maintain and organize equipment in the shop and service vehicle.
• Participate in after‑hours on‑call program and company training.
• Pick up and drop off materials and equipment at vendors and project locations.

Required profile

• Ability to follow verbal or written directions from supervisors.
• Commitment to safety first and adherence to all safety standards.
• No specific certifications required; full‑time hourly employee.
• Willingness to work on‑site and be available for on‑call duties.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IICRC S500 remediation standards.
• Understanding of MPR safety standards.
• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Basic psychrometric drying techniques.
• Equipment handling and movement.
