Carbon Educator (Kinshasa)

About the role

The Carbon Educator will support Burn’s clients in Kinshasa by delivering training and guidance on carbon projects and Ecoa products. The role ensures clients understand carbon subsidies, carbon credits, product features, and their responsibilities within the project.

Key responsibilities

• Educate clients on the objectives of the carbon project and related subsidies.
• Explain carbon credits, client consent processes, and product benefits.
• Train clients on proper product usage, maintenance best practices, and warranty procedures.
• Assess client understanding through questions, demonstrations, and follow‑up.
• Raise awareness of the importance of client participation in the carbon initiative.
• Record client interactions and report insights for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in training, education, or a related field with solid knowledge of carbon markets.
• Minimum age of 20 years.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of local languages (Lingala, Swahili, Kikongo, Tshiluba) is a plus.
• Strong communication, empathy, and ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Adaptability to field conditions and diverse client profiles.

Required skills
