Chief Executive Officer

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reporting to the board, the CEO will set the strategic direction of the organization, drive overall business performance and ensure alignment with long‑term objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the company’s vision, mission and strategic priorities.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, investments and performance monitoring.
• Lead operational management, including process optimisation and resource allocation.
• Develop and execute business and growth plans, driving revenue and market expansion.
• Build and nurture high‑performing, cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners and regulators.
• Monitor market trends, ensure regulatory compliance and represent the organisation externally.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CEO or senior executive, preferably in emerging or complex markets.
• Strong finance and financial management background.
• Expertise in operations and process optimisation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement long‑term business strategies.
• Successful track record in sales and commercial leadership.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, management or related field; MBA is a plus.
