Director of Business Support (Re‑advertised)

About the role

Oxfam GB is seeking a Director of Business Support to lead the operational support functions that enable effective programme implementation across humanitarian, campaign and gender initiatives. The role sits on the Senior Management Team, providing strategic input to the Country Director and ensuring alignment with DRC law and Oxfam global policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Business Support Units: Finance, Human Resources, Logistics, Administration and IT.
• Design, develop and monitor operational support processes to guarantee timely, high‑quality assistance to programme teams.
• Ensure all country procedures comply with DRC legislation and Oxfam’s global standards.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary, multicultural Business Support team.
• Contribute to the Country Strategy by providing strategic decisions and recommendations.

Required profile

• Master’s or postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Finance, HR, Logistics or a related field.
• 7‑10 years of relevant experience (or 10+ years with a bachelor’s degree) in an international NGO, with at least 5 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Proven experience leading operational improvements in challenging environments.
• Experience in DRC or other fragile contexts is an advantage.
• Strong commitment to Oxfam’s mission and feminist principles.
