Drilling Superintendent – Mining Operations

About the role

The Drilling Superintendent leads and coordinates exploration, infill, and resource definition drilling activities across the Kamoa‑Kakula deposits in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality drilling execution in line with technical, operational, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate drilling programs, ensuring alignment with geological priorities and operational schedules.
• Manage drilling contractors, crews, and onsite logistics, monitoring productivity, equipment utilization, and SLA compliance.
• Promote a Zero Harm safety culture, enforce HSE standards, conduct inductions, and lead incident investigations.
• Monitor technical quality, including drill‑hole positioning, deviation, core recovery, and consumable usage.
• Conduct rig inspections and equipment audits to verify readiness and compliance.
• Collaborate with geology, technical services, and operational teams to achieve project milestones.
