Field Officer

About the role

Wave is expanding its operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo and needs a driven Field Officer to manage product rollouts and build the agent and merchant network on the ground. You will represent Wave in the field, overseeing distribution, marketing activations and ensuring services are accessible to local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure agent quality and compliance with legal and policy requirements.
• Train agents on applications, contracts, rebalancing options and fraud management.
• Collaborate with BTL and liquidity teams to equip agents and monitor cash availability.
• Conduct routine visits to assess performance, manage risk and recover equipment from under‑performing agents.
• Serve as the primary contact for all agency networks acquiring Wave products in your territory.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French, with a good command of an additional local language preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in field sales, micro‑finance, telecoms or fintech.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work in fast‑paced, challenging field conditions.
• High level of integrity, reliability and a proactive communication style.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel.
