Finance & Administrative Manager (DRC)

About the role

The Jane Goodall Institute is seeking a Finance & Administrative Manager to provide accurate and timely financial and administrative support for a multi‑sectoral conservation and development partnership in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role oversees both finance and administration functions, ensuring resources are stewarded responsibly.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise finance and administration teams, including general ledger activity, daily posting, cash management, payroll, accounts receivable and payable.
• Lead month‑end closing, prepare financial reports, and monitor budgets.
• Analyze financial data to support program implementation and decision‑making.
• Maintain compliance with donor and organizational financial policies.
• Prioritize multiple tasks and make independent decisions to keep operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising finance and administrative teams, preferably in an NGO or development context.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Commitment to the mission of wildlife conservation and community development.
