Financial Accountant – IFRS & Reporting (Lubumbashi)

About the role

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements and reports for Sandvik's DRC entities. This role ensures compliance with IFRS, internal policies, and Sandvik reporting requirements while supporting the finance team in monthly, quarterly and yearly cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and adapt the Chart of Accounts for DRC entities.
• Prepare trial balances and ensure accurate OneStream reporting for monthly, quarterly and year‑end disclosures.
• Develop IFRS financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Monitor compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Participate in internal control testing and regular audits.
• Coordinate monthly finance documentation for Sandvik reporting.
• Perform financial analysis and produce weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports.
• Support external and internal audits, ensuring timely completion.
• Manage direct reports and ensure deliverables meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional qualification or postgraduate study is a plus.
• Solid experience in financial reporting, preferably within mining or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting frameworks.
• Fluent in English and French.
