Head of Logistics & Infrastructure

About the role

The Wildlife Conservation Society is looking for a dynamic Head of Logistics & Infrastructure to lead all logistics, procurement, fleet, and infrastructure activities for Kahuzi‑Biega National Park. Based full‑time at the park headquarters in Tshivanga, you will ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations and support the park’s conservation mission.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee local procurement, ensuring compliance with WCS and donor SOPs.
• Manage warehousing systems for equipment, consumables, and fuel.
• Supervise construction projects, guaranteeing adherence to BoQs and best practices.
• Coordinate fleet usage, transportation, and security protocols for staff, partners, and visitors.
• Maintain park roads, tracks, access points, vehicles, generators, and utility supplies.
• Ensure all aviation and telecommunications permits are current.
• Lead the garage, water, and electricity services and report to the Park Management Unit.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of logistics, fleet management, or procurement experience in remote, multicultural settings.
• Strong organizational abilities and a practical, hands‑on attitude.
• Experience working with international NGOs or the private sector.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Fluency in French and English; Swahili is a plus.
