Head of Network Development

About the role

The Head of Network Development will lead the creation and scaling of local hubs, enabling decentralized decision‑making and empowering hub leaders to define and own their priorities. Working across a global network of humanitarian partners, you will act as a bridge between hubs and central expertise such as operations and communications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement hub development strategies that shift power closer to crisis‑affected communities.
• Collaborate with hub representatives to identify support needs and coordinate resources from relevant internal teams.
• Facilitate peer‑to‑peer service exchanges between hubs as the network matures.
• Maintain political awareness and sensitivity to diverse contexts, ensuring inclusive and equitable partnerships.
• Represent the network in external stakeholder engagements, influencing policy and practice.

Required profile

• Strong political awareness and ability to navigate complex humanitarian environments.
• Proven experience building relationships with empathy, credibility, and inclusive leadership.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to iterate solutions through testing and learning.
• Systems‑thinking mindset with a broad understanding of humanitarian sector dynamics.
