Health Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (P2) – Temporary Appointment

About the role

The Health Monitoring & Evaluation Officer supports UNICEF's Health Section in Kinshasa by overseeing the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of health programmes, with a focus on maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (MNCAH) and Community Health Systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Health Manager in timely data collection, quality control and result‑based management for MNCAH and community health interventions.
• Develop and maintain monitoring tools, dashboards and evaluation reports to generate actionable performance insights.
• Identify gaps, lessons learned and recommend corrective actions to improve programme effectiveness.
• Support monitoring of Field Offices and ensure alignment with national health priorities.
• Facilitate cross‑sectoral collaboration with Nutrition, WASH and SBC teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Public Health, Social Science, Statistics, Data Science, Project Management, International Relations, Community Development or related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant professional experience in health monitoring, evaluation or data analysis.
• Commitment to UNICEF’s mission of advocating for every child’s right to health.
