Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will provide dedicated HR operational support to the ARK Project feasibility study at Kibali Gold Mine, ensuring accurate people administration, workforce mobilisation, contractor compliance and timely reporting. The role works closely with project leadership, site HR, finance, payroll, HSE, training and community relations to meet project and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day HR support to the ARK Project feasibility study team, aligning processes with project timelines.
• Support workforce planning, mobilisation and demobilisation, tracking manpower plans, vacancies and onboarding status.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding for project staff, technical specialists, consultants and operational support roles.
• Maintain accurate project workforce records for employees, contractors and consultants, ensuring proper classification and site‑access status.
• Keep HRIS and project tracker data up‑to‑date, perform regular data‑quality checks and reconcile information with site HR, payroll and project controls.
• Validate payroll inputs such as timesheets, overtime, leave, allowances and contract changes before submission.
• Administer employment contracts, amendments, renewals and employee files in line with internal procedures and DRC legislation.
• Support DRC statutory compliance and provide employee‑relations assistance, site‑access readiness and timely HR reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified HR professional with proven experience in project or mining environments.
• Familiarity with DRC labour legislation and statutory compliance requirements.
• Strong ability to work with cross‑functional teams including finance, payroll and HSE.
• Detail‑oriented with experience in HR data management and reporting.
