Information Management Officer (Temporary) – Kinshasa

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Information Management Officer to support nutrition programming in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Working under the Nutrition Specialist, you will turn raw data into actionable insights, ensuring that information systems are used strategically to improve program impact.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and validate nutrition data from multiple sources.
• Perform quality control, analysis, and synthesis of data.
• Develop analytical dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Support decision‑making by providing timely, evidence‑based information.
• Build capacity of staff and partners in using MIS tools.
• Produce information‑management products, reports, and GIS maps.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data consistency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in information management or a related field.
• Minimum two years of professional experience developing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating information‑management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English and French.

Required skills

• Management Information Systems (MIS) knowledge.
• Experience with KoboToolbox/ODK, SINUT, DHIS2.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau Desktop, Adobe Illustrator.
• GIS (Geographic Information Systems) expertise.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies and Google Web Toolkit.
