Local Channel Specialist – Mobile Phones (DRC)

About the role

The Local Channel Specialist will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the distribution network for mobile phones, accessories and related consumer electronics across the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to regional management, the specialist will develop and manage offline channel partnerships, execute sales and marketing plans, and ensure regional business targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard dealers, distributors, retail stores and wholesale merchants to build a comprehensive sales channel network.
• Maintain regular visits to existing partners, monitor inventory turnover, resolve supply or pricing issues, and boost customer loyalty.
• Own sales targets for smartphones, feature phones and related products, planning stock distribution, promotions, in‑store displays and product launches.
• Conduct deep market research on consumer trends, competitor pricing, product updates and channel policies, producing regular reports.
• Communicate company investment policies, rebate structures and promotional strategies to partners, providing training on product knowledge and store operations.

Required profile

• Proven ability to drive sales growth and expand distribution networks in the DRC or similar markets.
• Experience in offline channel development for mobile phones and consumer electronics.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with dealers, distributors and retail partners.
• Analytical mindset to conduct market research and translate insights into actionable plans.
