Logistic Superintendent

About the role

The Logistic Superintendent supports the Logistics Manager in overseeing all logistics activities for Kamoto Copper Company. The role ensures timely transport of consumables, equipment and other materials both locally and internationally while complying with DRC customs regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal stakeholder needs and verify order accuracy.
• Participate in stock planning based on demand and delivery timelines.
• Ensure material deliveries meet stakeholder requirements.
• Maintain daily communication with customs officers, carriers and truck‑parking supervisors.
• Manage import and transportation expenses against forecasts and budgets.
• Validate invoices against contracts and obtain management approval.
• Monitor customs clearance activities, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
• Define and track KPIs for carriers and customs agencies.
• Collect and report truck replacement confirmations and logistics information.
• Identify improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Logistics, Customs or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in materials logistics, transport or customs.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and TS 16949 quality standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• In‑depth understanding of customs legislation and import procedures.
• Leadership, analytical thinking and proactive problem‑solving abilities.
