About the role

This position is essential for converting monthly trade flow requirements into optimized, cost‑effective transport plans that support the company’s margin objectives. Based in Kolwezi, the successful candidate will oversee local trucking operations for copper shipments to rail transport and sulfur shipments in the opposite direction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage local trucking business in Kolwezi for copper and sulfur flows, coordinating with eight logistics service providers (LSPs).
• Plan and forecast uplift volumes, aiming to double current volumes of >30,000 MT per month by year‑end.
• Track daily progress, report plans to internal teams and customers, and identify shortfalls.
• Propose and implement solutions to address any gaps in capacity or performance.
• Coordinate loading plans with mines and ensure timely release of required documents.
• Align warehouse plans with train schedules to guarantee seamless multimodal transport.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree.
• 5+ years of experience in commodities trading or a fast‑paced trading environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with a cost‑optimization mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
