Logistics Superintendent

About the role

The Logistics Superintendent will support the Logistics Manager in overseeing all logistics activities for Kamoto Copper Company's mining operations. This role ensures timely transport of consumables, equipment and other materials while complying with DRC customs regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal stakeholder needs and verify order accuracy.
• Participate in stock planning based on demand and delivery timelines.
• Ensure material deliveries are executed on schedule in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Maintain daily communication with customs officers and carriers.
• Track and communicate delivery times to end‑users.
• Manage import and transportation expenses against forecasts and budgets.
• Validate invoices against contracts and obtain management approval.
• Monitor customs clearance activities, including physical verification.
• Protect the company from customs penalties by ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Define and monitor KPIs for carriers and customs agencies.
• Supervise truck parking lot operations and coordinate truck movements.
• Verify accuracy of logistics data such as truck replacements and stock information.
• Report security incidents to the security team promptly.
• Identify improvement opportunities and recommend actions.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Logistics, Customs or a related field.
