M-Pesa Senior Accountant – TCM Operations

About the role

The M-Pesa Senior Accountant will oversee revenue accounting, margin analysis, commission accounting and over‑the‑counter (OTC) transaction controls within the TCM Operations team. This role ensures accurate financial reporting and supports compliance with IFRS revenue recognition.

Key responsibilities

• Perform revenue and direct‑cost reconciliations to guarantee data integrity.
• Analyze product profitability and calculate margins across the portfolio.
• Validate commission calculations, accrue commissions and ensure timely payouts.
• Maintain accurate accounting of OTC transactions and support related controls.
• Assist the finance team in meeting IFRS revenue recognition requirements.
• Prepare regular margin analysis reports for management review.
• Investigate and resolve potential revenue leakage incidents.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and financial reporting abilities.
• Experience in telecom revenue accounting is preferred.
