Management Accountant

About the role

As a Management Accountant at Helios Towers you will safeguard the integrity of the company’s financial records and deliver insightful analysis that underpins operational and strategic decision‑making across its extensive telecom tower portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, journal entries and general ledger reconciliations in line with IFRS, OHADA and internal policies.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, balance‑sheet reconciliations and management reporting packs.
• Review general ledger postings to ensure completeness, accuracy and proper supporting documentation.
• Monitor operational expenditure, analyse cost trends, identify budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Support capitalisation of project costs and fixed assets, coordinating with Projects, Operations, Supply Chain and the Centralised Back Office.
• Manage fixed‑asset accounting processes, including work‑in‑progress tracking, depreciation, reconciliations and the Fixed Asset Register.
• Coordinate inventory accounting activities, supporting stock reconciliations and compliance with inventory standards.
• Provide financial analysis and business insights, interpreting data and explaining key performance indicators to non‑financial managers.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors, preparing schedules and responding to audit queries.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, reporting quality and internal controls.
