Mining Equipment Operator

About the role

Mutanda Mining (MUMI S.A.R.L) is seeking skilled Mining Equipment Operators to support its open‑pit mining operations near Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of Congo. Under the supervision of the Mining Production Superintendent, you will operate heavy equipment safely, efficiently, and in line with environmental and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned equipment (Dozer, Grader, Loader, Compactor, ADT, CAT 777) on a daily basis.
• Perform pre‑start checks and routine maintenance to ensure equipment readiness.
• Report mechanical faults or operational issues promptly to the maintenance team.
• Follow site safety procedures, HSE regulations, and Glencore/MUMI environmental policies.
• Participate in waste and pollutant management and report any incidents.

Required profile

• At least a Brevet d'Aptitude Professionnelle (BAP) or equivalent in heavy equipment operation.
• Valid driving licence covering the relevant equipment categories.
• Minimum three years of experience operating heavy mining equipment in an open‑pit or similar environment.
• Basic communication skills in French; English is an advantage.
