National Movement Operations Officer (Field Support)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a National Movement Operations Officer to provide field support in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The position is short‑term, up to nine months, and focuses on overseeing movement operations that facilitate safe and orderly migration.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise up to three teams delivering field support activities in Kinshasa.
• Manage staff development processes, including recruitment, training, task assignment and performance feedback.
• Coordinate the planning and execution of travel and relocation logistics for migrants and refugees in line with framework agreements.
• Ensure compliance with IOM policies, partner agreements and host‑government regulations.
• Monitor and report on operational performance, quality of work and accuracy of documentation.

Required profile

• National Officer grade NO‑A or equivalent.
• Proven experience in migration, humanitarian logistics or movement operations.
• Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of international resettlement frameworks and partner coordination.
• Fluency in English and French is preferred.
