Program Manager – Democratic Republic of Congo

About the role

IFC is seeking a Program Manager based in Kinshasa to lead the operationalisation of IFC2030 in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the Division Director for East Africa, the role will oversee all IFC activities in the country, driving investment and advisory growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a multi‑year country strategy for DRC, integrating market development, sector priorities and business targets.
• Build and manage high‑level relationships with government, private sector, regulators, development partners and civil society.
• Coordinate with World Bank Group institutions and other multilateral partners to design joint initiatives and strengthen the IFC/WBG brand.
• Oversee the investment and advisory portfolio, ensuring rigorous project selection, structuring and impact measurement.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of investment, advisory and support staff, fostering collaboration across IFC units.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale development programmes in fragile and conflict‑affected settings.
• Strong track record of deal origination, structuring and client engagement in emerging markets.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with senior government and private sector officials.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal and external partners.

Required skills

• Fluency in English and French.
