Programme Associate (G-6) – Fixed Term – Kinshasa & Bunia

About the role

UNICEF is seeking four Programme Associates (G‑6) on a fixed‑term basis to support programme development, implementation and monitoring in Kinshasa and Bunia, Democratic Republic of Congo. The role combines programme coordination with strong data and administrative support to ensure effective delivery of UNICEF’s child‑focused initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialised programme and administrative support under the Chiefs of Sections (Social Policy, Health, Child Protection).
• Manage data analysis, budget tracking, reporting and coordination with internal and external partners.
• Support grant management, budget monitoring and digital innovation initiatives.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing, capacity‑building events and surge support as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education; a bachelor’s degree can replace three years of relevant experience, a master’s degree can replace an additional two years.
• At least six years of clerical or related work experience.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of another UN language or a local language is an asset.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP, Power BI, SharePoint.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence and data‑visualisation tools.
• Ability to conduct due‑diligence, partnership management and risk assessments.
