Programme Associate (G‑6) – Fixed Term – Kinshasa

About the role

The Programme Associate (G‑6) supports UNICEF’s country programmes in Kinshasa, providing specialised programme and administrative assistance to ensure effective planning, implementation and reporting. Working under the Chiefs of Sections (Social Policy, Health, Child Protection), the incumbent contributes to data‑driven decision‑making and compliance with organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project management and partnership activities across programme pillars.
• Collect, analyse and report programme data, including budget tracking and grant monitoring.
• Support digital innovation initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
• Prepare communications, knowledge‑sharing materials and organise capacity‑building events.
• Provide surge support and adapt to emerging programme needs.

Required profile

• Secondary education minimum; a relevant bachelor’s degree (or master’s degree with reduced experience requirement).
• At least six years of clerical or programme support experience.
• Fluency in French; additional UN language proficiency is an asset.
• Experience in due diligence, partnership management and risk assessment, preferably at country level.
