Project Coordinator – Masa Mbio, DRC

About the role

MAGNA is seeking a Project Coordinator to lead its field programme in Masa Mbio, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role bridges the capital office and the field team, ensuring that project activities align with MAGNA’s operational principles and the needs of beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and adapt programme strategies based on beneficiary needs and field realities.
• Monitor project indicators, assess progress, and adjust resources as required.
• Organise and supervise the field team, ensuring clear communication of mission challenges.
• Enforce human‑resource policies and security procedures for all staff.
• Maintain information flows between the field and headquarters, representing the field team to local authorities.
• Develop and sustain a network of partners, NGOs, UN agencies and government contacts.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months experience in humanitarian aid, project design, monitoring, and team management with an NGO.
• Availability for at least a 6‑month assignment.
• Fluency in French and English.

Required skills

• Proven ability to manage relationships with national authorities, NGOs and UN partners.
• Strong negotiation and representation skills.
• Capacity to handle security responsibilities in a volatile environment.
• Understanding of advocacy and multicultural teamwork.
