Project Manager – Democratic Republic of Congo

About the role

The Belgian Red Cross‑Flanders (RKV) is seeking a Project Manager to serve as Country Representative in the Democratic Republic of Congo. You will lead and coordinate projects on first aid, blood services and emergency disaster response, working closely with the local Red Cross Society and donors.

Key responsibilities

• Overall operational and financial management of first aid, blood services and disaster response projects.
• Facilitate a professional partnership between RKV and the Red Cross Society of the DRC.
• Develop and maintain a security framework for operations in the DRC.
• Manage security incidents in collaboration with RKV headquarters.
• Implement RKV’s integrity framework across all delegated activities.
• Support investigations of potential integrity incidents under headquarters supervision.

Required profile

• University Master’s degree in science, economics or a related field.
• Knowledge of medical sciences, first aid, blood banking or data management is an asset.
