Regional Manager – DRC & ROC for Forest Partnerships

About the role

The Regional Manager for the Partnerships for Forests 2 (P4F2) Component 3 will lead the implementation of the programme in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Congo. Based in Kinshasa, the role combines strategic oversight, technical guidance and partnership management to drive sustainable forest and land‑use outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of grants and technical assistance to project partners, including diagnostics and implementation of recommendations.
• Adapt and manage the programme’s strategy, workplan and budget in collaboration with the team.
• Lead regional design of initiatives such as Business & Social Enterprise Development, Market Systems Development, Enabling Conditions, GESI and smallholder empowerment.
• Provide technical guidance, quality assurance and monthly pipeline updates to the FCDO and other stakeholders.
• Identify contextual changes, risks and opportunities and propose adjustments to programme delivery.
• Prepare and quality‑check project concepts and proposals for approval.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multi‑country development programmes in the environmental or natural resources sector.
• Strong understanding of sustainable forest management, land‑use markets and community‑based approaches.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with governments, NGOs, private sector and donors.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, results‑oriented environment and adapt to changing contexts.
