Regional Planning Expert – Inventory Optimization

About the role

The Regional Planning Expert – CDO will lead inventory optimisation across the region, aligning machine‑fleet insights, customer demand and supply‑chain strategy. You will design and execute inventory plans for regional and local distribution centres, ensuring the right parts are available at the right time while balancing service levels, uptime and working capital.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional inventory strategies that support corporate goals and optimise investment.
• Analyse machine‑fleet trends and demand drivers to shape stocking policies and network positioning.
• Manage product ranges at regional distribution centres and local warehouses, approving stocking and assortment changes.
• Define, track and report on inventory performance indicators, identifying imbalances, service gaps and obsolete stock.
• Collaborate with Customer Centres, Regional Supply Chain teams, Product Companies and Global Planning to align inventory strategies.
• Act as the regional super‑user for global inventory management systems, maintaining replenishment parameters and improving system functionality.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and contribute to regional and global supply‑chain transformation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply‑chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, business management or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in inventory management, supply‑chain planning, demand planning or logistics.
• Proven expertise in inventory optimisation, replenishment strategies and multi‑echelon supply chains.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience driving performance metrics.
