Senior Procurement Specialist (Kinshasa)

About the role

The World Bank is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to join its Eastern and Southern Africa (AFE) Procurement Unit in Kinshasa. The role focuses on delivering procurement reforms and fiduciary services for Bank‑financed projects across a decentralized network of country offices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of procurement reforms in line with World Bank policies.
• Provide fiduciary support and oversight for procurement activities in multiple project sites.
• Coordinate with decentralized country offices to ensure consistent application of procurement standards.
• Monitor procurement processes, assess compliance, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare procurement documentation, reports, and analytical reviews for senior management.

Required profile

• Highly organized and energized professional with substantial experience in public‑sector procurement.
• Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural, international environment.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Willingness to be internationally hired and based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
