Space Applications Expert, Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is preparing a proposal for the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The project aims to strengthen cooperation between Africa and the EU in the space sector, focusing on policy dialogue, knowledge exchange and private‑sector engagement. In this context, the Non‑Key Expert will support the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation services and applications, especially those based on Copernicus data, to address climate and environmental priorities in Africa.

Required profile

• University degree at Master’s level in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services, remote sensing or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO services using Copernicus data in areas such as early warning, climate, environment, agriculture, water or biodiversity.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.

• Experience with African institutions and user uptake (asset).
