Supply & Logistics Specialist (P-3) – Temporary Appointment

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Supply & Logistics Specialist (P-3) on a six‑month temporary appointment to support its emergency response in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role is based in Kinshasa and will contribute to the delivery of life‑saving supplies and services for children and vulnerable communities affected by the Ebola outbreak.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, procure, and contract goods and services required for the emergency operation.
• Manage customs clearance, warehousing, in‑country transportation, and distribution of supplies.
• Monitor inventory, track deliveries, and ensure compliance with UNICEF procurement policies.
• Coordinate with programme teams to align supply interventions with humanitarian objectives.
• Provide technical advice to government authorities and implementing partners on supply chain management.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement.
• Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably with UN agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in complex, insecure environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
