Tax & Treasury Lead (Fiscaliste)

About the role

Auremin is looking for an experienced Tax & Treasury Lead (Fiscaliste) to manage the tax, exchange‑control and treasury interface between its Democratic Republic of Congo operations and the wider group. The role requires hands‑on experience moving USD and foreign‑currency through the local BCC exchange‑control system and ensuring compliance with DRC fiscal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the repatriation of USD and foreign currency from the DRC to the group, handling the full BCC documentary and exchange‑control process end‑to‑end.
• Build and maintain banking relationships and manage documentary requirements to avoid transfer delays.
• Manage liquidity, cash positioning and FX exposure across DRC operating entities.
• Oversee the group’s DRC tax position, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes and sector‑specific levies, and maintain relationships with DGI and DGDA.
• Maintain transfer pricing compliance, ensuring intercompany fees, shareholder loans and supply arrangements are arm’s‑length and fully documented.
• Lead tax audits and queries, preparing and defending supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with group corporate and legal functions on entity structuring, repatriation channels and treaty positions.
• Direct the in‑house accountant and external expert‑comptable to ensure statutory accounts, OHADA obligations and monthly cycles align with tax and treasury requirements.
• Prepare regular tax, treasury and cash reports for group finance and senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in tax, treasury or fiscal management, with substantial time operating inside the DRC system.
• Proven hands‑on experience executing USD and foreign‑currency transfers through BCC exchange‑control requirements.
• Background in a bank compliance desk or finance function of a mining/industrial company operating in the DRC.
