Acquisition and Assistance Specialist (Entry Level)

About the role

The Acquisition and Assistance Specialist supports USAID/DRC in managing procurement and assistance activities. This entry‑level position is part of a career ladder that can progress from FSN‑09 to FSN‑11 based on performance and training.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of acquisition and assistance contracts.
• Prepare and review solicitation documents, evaluate proposals, and support award recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with USAID regulations, AIDAR Appendix J, and local compensation plans.
• Coordinate with program staff and external partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Track contract performance, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions when needed.

Required profile

• Cooperating Country National (CCN) of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
• Entry‑level education or experience appropriate for FSN‑09 grade.
• Ability to obtain required security clearances.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
