Administrative Associate (G-6)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking experienced Administrative Associates (G-6) to support its operations in Lubumbashi, Kananga and Bunia, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Working under the supervision of the Operations Officer, you will ensure smooth administrative processes across multiple sections.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities and ensure compliance with UNICEF policies.
• Coordinate communications, workflow, calendar, meetings and correspondence.
• Organise events and logistics, including travel arrangements and invoice processing.
• Oversee supplies, equipment and attendance tracking.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of relevant administrative or clerical experience.
• Completion of secondary education; a bachelor’s degree can replace three years of experience, a master’s degree can replace an additional two years.
• Fluent French; knowledge of another UN language (English, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is desirable.
• Experience in development, fragile or humanitarian contexts at country level.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SharePoint.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with information systems and UNICEF administrative policies.
